A Sensational Two Day Tour that takes in the Inspirational Splendour of Central Australia's most Cherished and Sacred places

Tour Itinerary


DAY 1
Emu Run collect you from outside your Alice Lodge/Alice Motor Inn at 6am. A light breakfast onboard our comfortable coach,first stop is then at Erldunda Roadhouse for light refreshments and Aboriginal Art display. We travel along the Luritja Road to Kings Canyon. On arrival enjoy a prepared lunch, then a spectacular 3 hour Guided Rim Walk (though if weather conditions are over 35 degree celsius or if the group prefers we can opt to do a base walk and visit Kathleen Springs instead). Travel back to Erldunda for dinner and overnight budget motel accommodation.

DAY 2
Depart Erlduna at 9am the next day and travel to Ayers Rock, arriving about midday. The itinerary here changes sequence between hotter and cooler months: We stop first at the Visitors Centre (warmer months only), enjoy lunch then travel to the Olgas, do a Gorge walk, then back to Ayers Rock and visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre. We do guided walks at Uluru, or you may choose to climb. The highlight of this great two day trip is a fabulous BBQ Champagne Dinner at Uluru while watching a magnificent Central Australian Sunset and the amazing changing colours of Uluru. We depart for Alice Springs after sunset, arriving back into town approx midnight in cooler months and 1.00am warmer months. (Comfortable coach seats are great for a sleep on the way home)

What To Bring


Dress in the Northern Territory is casual and comfortable. Winter nights (May to August) can be cold, so bring warm clothing. Days are sunny and warm. Remember to bring strong, non-slip walking shoes, hats, sunglasses, camera, water bottle & sunscreen.

Tour Itinerary


Day 1 - Alice Springs to Kings Canyon & Uluru

We journey to Kings Canyon where we explore the spectacular North and South Walls, the ‘Amphitheatre’, ‘Lost City’ and the ‘Garden of Eden’. (In summer, walks may be shortened due to extreme temperatures). After lunch, we travel on to Uluru (Ayers Rock) for our overnight stay in our private campsite. (LD)

Day 2 - Uluru to Alice Springs

It’s an early start for one of the highlights of the tour - the Uluru sunrise. Enjoy a walk around the base exploring the mysterious rock formations and Aboriginal art sites while watching the changing light on the desert or you can choose to climb Uluru. We visit the red domes of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and learn about the significance of this spiritual place. After lunch, we depart for Alice Springs viewing the rugged desert scenery along the way. (BL) (passengers may leave the tour at Ayers Rock Resort).
